The Kinder Fit Approach

Kinder Fit classes consist of 30 minutes of motor skills, tumbling, creative movement, fitness, and/or sports attainment depending on the lesson plan, equipment, and activities utilized for the week.

Every week, our trained instructors work on specific objectives through age appropriate lesson plans and upbeat music that help children:

  • Improve Motor Skills
  • Develop Cognitive Skills
  • Build Self Esteem
  • Learn Cooperation
  • Develop a Love for Fitness
Informing parents about their child’s success and learning process in Kinder Fit is a fundamental aspect of our program. Therefore, parents receive a weekly activity flyer informing them of the theme of the week and skills we work on, in addition to a monthly newsletter with health tips, important announcements, recognitions, and much more!

The Child as a Whole

The Kinder Fit program provides foundational support for the development of the whole child. As a child matures physically, mentally, and emotionally, they require certain needs that eventually allow them to self-actualize as individuals. Our program aims to incorporate those needs through fitness and movement!

Exercise is not only vital to increasing children's overall energy level, but also allows their bodies to achieve homeostasis, better sleep, and a healthier diet. This in turn provides children with the safety and security of developing a healthier lifestyle under a familiar, convenient, and trusted environment.

By working with children in a group format and incorporating partner and group activities, the Kinder Fit program incorporates the importance of relationship building, teamwork, and good sportsmanship, which aid in meeting a child's needs of belonging.

The aspects of learning and achievement are critical in providing children with self-esteem and respect for themselves and others. Through encouragement and positive reinforcement, children learn to attain some of the skills necessary to achieve a particular task which instills in them the confidence to try something new or more challenging.

With the proper tools and environment, children are more apt to grow into productive, well-adjusted, self-actualized individuals. In fact, though self-actualization is a lifelong process, a mini-version of this development is visible when a child is provided with the basic elements of exercise, safety, love and belonging, and positive regard or self esteem. What begins to happen is that the child displays more creativity and spontaneity, elements of self-expression that are not only welcomed but reinforced through our diversified program.
